Children's Activities
lakes leisure Windermere has fantastic facilities for children; every child wants to experience the great outdoors and the thrills and spills of an exciting adventure...here we can make that happen! Our qualified instructors specialise in all types of watersports from kayaking to windsurfing...and will ensure your child has a great time on the water. You can relax with the knowledge that your children are under our care and having the time of their lives. We are a BCU/ RYA/AALS approved centre.
Whether you are visiting the area for your holidays or you live locally we have a wide variety of junior activities on offer. Please take a look at our activities scheduled by school holiday below or alternatively by activity type on the right hand menu.

Activity Days
Splash Activity Days are all about FUN! During each day we will do activities such as canoeing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, raft-building, shelter building, orienteering and team games for ages 7-14. Each day costs just £50.00.
Brockhole Adventure Days
Young adventurers aged 7-12 looking for action will enjoy half term fun and games at the Lake District Visitor Centre, Brockhole with a range of great outdoor activities like canoeing, sailing, orienteering and the adventure playground.
OnBoard Sail Days and T-15 Windsurf Skills and Racing
One off skills training days for our OnBoard/T-15 club participants. Work towards the final parts of your RYA skills levels that you may not have been able to complete over summer. This is the last week of our season and we would like to offer friendly and relaxed coaching before our regatta/end of season party. Check back soon for dates and prices.
KAOS Activity Weeks
Swallows and Amazons
All things sailing for 7-15 year olds. A week of sailing adventure. We will sail different boats, island hop, race, play and explore the lake like the original Swallows and Amazons! Each week costs £215
Wind Week
Learn the exciting sports of windsurfing and dinghy sailing over 5 days whilst gaining RYA awards. Courses run from 9.30am- 4.30pm. Amount of time on each sport depends on weather and ability. Kit to bring is the same as Swallows and Amazons. Each week costs £215
Paddlepower Week
Using both kayaks and canoes you will get the chance to explore many different parts of Lake Windermere. You will work towards BCU qualifications gaining skills that will last a lifetime! Each week costs £215
