Disabled Access & Facilities

lakes leisure is an inclusive centre and welcomes people with disabilities. Customers with disabilities may access all activities within the centre, but to assist in meeting your needs we also have a number of inclusive sessions and facilities.

Facilities

• Disabled car parking bays with easy access to the centres.
• Pool hoist with seat or sling attachment – customers requiring a sling are asked to provide their own sling to ensure it is the correct size.
• Large changing cubicle in each pool changing room.
• Transfer chair to the poolside.
• Changing table.
• Carers are able to accompany disabled users free of charge.

Children's sports

Inclusive Gym – Our gym is a recognised IFI site (Inclusive Fitness Initiative) so we have specially adapted equipment accessible for users with all kinds of special needs or disabilities. One to one sessions are available with our IFI trained fitness instructors.

Disability Swim sessions – Thursday 11.15am - 12noon (term time)

Friday 3.15pm – 4.00pm (school hols)

Saturday 5.15pm – 5.45pm
