Our
swimming sessions offer you the chance to swim in a specially designated session
to provide an enjoyable and peaceful swim.
If you are looking for a more traditional work out in the pool, our 50+ ‘Nifty Fifty’ aquatone class is a water based aerobic session to music, the water provides support as well as resistance - making it the ideal way to tone up your muscles without feeling the strain!
For a relaxing, enjoyable evening swim –our adults only swimming session is the answer! The main pool is divided into lanes for this session, providing lots of space for length swimming in a relaxing environment.
Ladies only is similar to the adult session and is a great way to swim in a peaceful setting alongside other ladies of all ages. Why not make it a weekly hobby and come along with your friends?
Lane swimming is the perfect way to achieve your length targets and enhance your fitness and swimming stamina. We have a lane available at all our public swimming sessions but we also have some early morning length only swimming sessions during the week, please see our timetable for details.
Our Nifty 50+ sessions are now a 'quiet session' and the radio/music will not be played. A relaxing and quiet swim is guaranteed!

This session is a low stress, water based exercise class. Suitable for all your Ante and Post-Natal exercise requirements.
Supervised by Midwives and Physiotherapists from the Helme Chase Unit of the Westmorland General Hospital. You must be sixteen weeks pregnant to attend. Post-natal classes commence six weeks from the birth of your baby, for a 6 week maximum duration. The sessions take place on Mondays 9.15-10.15am during term time and 9.00-10.00am during school holidays.
Our fun sessions are not to be missed! These sessions are great for the whole family and give you the chance to bring your own inflatables to the pool! We will also add floats and woggles to the sessions to make sure it is definitely splash-tastic!
We hold a recovery/inclusive swimming session on a Saturday morning 10.30-11.30am during term time which is run by the Kendal Lions Club. If you would like to swim but require assistance in the water, this session allows you to enjoy the pool at a quieter time with the help and support of the volunteers. Please contact Kendal Lions Club for details.
