National Pool Lifeguard Courses
This is a nationally recognised qualification for anyone seeking a career in the leisure industry and an ideal starting point to see if a career in sport and leisure is for you. Once qualified with your NPLQ you can apply for jobs as a Lifeguard/Leisure Assistant at any leisure facility.
Candidates should be:
- At least 16 years of age
- Fit and healthy
- Completely confident in deep water
- Able to swim 50m in 1 minute or less
- Able to swim 100m on their front without pausing
- Able to swim 100m on their backs without pausing
- Able to dive from the surface of the water to depth of not less than 1.5m.
What equipment will you require?
Swim wear, shorts, t-shirt, writing material, whistle. N.B. Lunch and refreshments are not provided.
Mon 13th - Fri 17th February 2012 (exam Sat 18th) course at Kendal
Mon 16th - Fri 20th July 2012 (exam 21st July) course available at Kendal & Ulverston
Tue 28th August - Fri 1st September 2012 (exam Sun 2nd Sept) course at Ulverston
Mon 29th October - Friday 2nd November 2012 (exam 3rd Nov) course at Kendal
Course cost: £300.00
This is a nationally recognised course ideal for those wishing to undertake professional lifeguard training – this is often the first qualification for a career in leisure.
