NEW Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification

This is a nationally recognised course leading to an UKCC Level 1 Certificate for teaching Aquatics; ideal for anyone looking for a career in the leisure industry. Once qualified, a holder of the Level 1 ASA certificate is able to assist in the teaching of limited range of basic skills to a group consisting of up to 4 participants under the supervision of a qualified ASA instructor. It is the first qualification in the ASA structure.

Once qualified a holder of an ASA/UKCC Level 2 Certificate for teaching Aquatics is one who is able to teach/coach groups, normally consisting of up to 12 participants with a range of ability from the non swimmer to those involved in Pre-competitive development, and to organise and supervise UKCC Level 1 Certificate for teaching Aquaticsholders and other helpers.
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

Course cost: £300.00
This is a nationally recognised course ideal for those wishing to undertake professional lifeguard training – this is often the first qualification for a career in leisure.
Candidates must be:
- At least 16 years of age
- Fit and healthy
- Completely confident in deep water
- Able to swim 50m in 1 minute or less.
- Able to swim 100m on their front without pausing
- Able to swim 100m on their back without pausing
- Able to dive from the surface of the water to a depth of no less than 1.5 meters
IMSPA Pool Plant Operators Course

This course is the only course recommended by the HSE in their document entitled "Safety in Swimming Pools". The course is designed for supervisors and managers who are responsible for the safe operation of swimming pools, it provides the theoretical knowledge required to maintain pool plant equipment.
