By Car: Windermere is situated in the Lake District National Park and easily accessible from the M6 motorway at Junction 36. Exit the Motorway at J36 (Kendal) and follow the A591 dual carriageway for 22 miles (signposted Kendal/Windermere) crossing one roundabout. Continue through Windermere itself (passing the train station) on the left until you reach a mini roundabout. Turn left and take the A592 Rayrigg Road. Follow for 1 mile until reaching lakes leisure Windermere on the right.
By Rail: lakes leisure Windermere is approximately 2 miles from Windermere train station. The Windermere Tourist Information Centre is just outside the train station, pop in for details of the best walking route/bus times around Windermere/Bowness.
