Outdoor Astroturf & Bowls

Situated alongside our tennis centre, the outdoor complex at lakes leisure Ulverston offers a full sized, floodlit all weather Astroturf pitch. The pitch offers a fantastic playing surface for hockey, football, rugby training and much more…

We are proud to host an array of local clubs at the centre that use the pitch each week for training and match play. The Astroturf pitch is not only the ideal venue for a club but also for getting together with friends, family or colleagues for a one off game or a regular weekly booking.

The Astroturf is a secure site with a car park and changing room pavilion alongside, making it a very safe and convenient venue; it is also fully floodlit for those darker winter nights!

The pitch can be booked all year round and we also offer a very popular ‘kickabout’ rate for juniors and adults to use the pitch for a casual session.

Hourly prices start from just £13-18 and we have spaces available during the day and from 5.30pm-9.00pm if you are looking for an after work booking. Group bookings are a great idea and very cost effective so please contact us for further details on our pricing.

If you would like to hire the pitch for a sporting event please do let us know and we can discuss rates and discounts. We are very keen to promote local community sport here at lakes leisure and we may be able to assist you with PR opportunities for your event through our marketing department.

Crown Green Bowling

Why not enjoy a spot of crown green bowling? We have our own private bowling green at lakes leisure Ulverston which is available all year round. The bowling green is in a quiet, relaxing space with access to the car park and changing pavilion/toilets.

We offer bowling equipment hire at the tennis centre just across the car park, so come along with your friends or family and have a game of bowls! We also offer a very affordable bowling season ticket for those wanting to play more regularly.
