Tennis Tournaments

We recognise that coaching can provide the tools for players to consider moving their games into competition. The confidence gained during sessions will make for a smooth transition between FUN weekly lessons and FUN competition. Our centre offers everyone a full range of opportunities to compete.

In House Match Play

These events are aimed at juniors and are played during the weekend; each competition lasts for a maximum of 3 hours. This is seen as a player’s first chance to step onto the competitive ladder and is great FUN!

Box Leagues

Available to any user of our facility, aimed at juniors and adults and play is both singles and doubles. Why not pit your skills against others of a similar standard with matches arranged at players own convenience? Those leading their league will be promoted to a higher league –watch your standard improve!

lakes leisure Ulverston Junior Teams

Our centre regularly competes in the National Club League Championships for juniors. Teams are selected in age groups 8 + and under 16s , matches are played county wide both home and away through out the year. Make gaining selection for one of our teams your aim!

Open Junior Tournaments

As part of a national series of junior competitions lakes leisure Ulverston hosts a week long indoor tournament at Easter together with a similar event held during the school summer holidays. Players will find an event to suit from 8 + under years of age to 18 + under age.

Local League Clubs

Our centre allows clubs to use our facilities through the summer months. These clubs are always keen to attract new members who may wish to enjoy club evening sessions and who also might like to play for a team. These clubs also use our centre for winter indoor training so there is no reason for play to stop at the end of the summer. Remember tennis is an all year round game and we have all year round facilities.
