Windsurfing
lakes leisure has all the equipment you need to participate in this exciting watersport. This includes light weight rigs and wide style extra stable boards for beginners to bigger sails and smaller boards for improvers.
If you haven't tried windsurfing before and think you'll never stand up long enough to move!...our qualified instructors are confident they can prove you wrong!!
Why not come along and experience windsurfing at lakes leisure...one of the only facilities in the area to offer Royal Yachting Association (RYA) approved tuition allowing you to master this exhilarating sport.
Our kit includes: Various Hifly boards suitable for different abilities and Tushingham sails from 2m to 6.5m.
Introductory and full day sessions
Why not book an introductory session in windsurfing or come along for the whole day and learn the basics with one of our fully qualified instructors. You can also work towards RYA qualifications.
5 week courses
We run regular 5 week courses in windsurfing leading to RYA qualifications and free membership of lakes leisure Windermere. We run a variety of 5 week courses during the season please click for further information and dates.
2 day courses
Our 2 day RYA/BCU courses are scheduled based on demand but we are happy to arrange 2 day courses at various times throughout the season so please contact us to discuss details.
