Employment vacancies at lakes leisure will be advertised here on our website and generally in the local newspaper employment pages.
lakes leisure offers a good benefits package to both permanent and casual staff which includes either free or reduced use of facilities, holiday entitlement greater than the statutory minimum and a pension scheme for eligible staff.
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
The NPLQ is nationally recognised and is an essential qualification for our Leisure Assistants. This qualification can be undertaken at various sites across the country including lakes leisure Kendal and lakes leisure Ulverston (please see the leisure courses section on our Kendal or Ulverston pages)
Course participant should note that successful completion does not guarantee work with lakes leisure, and that attendance at regular training sessions is required to maintain the qualification.
Instructors & Coaches
As we are keen for our programme of classes and courses to keep evolving and change with the times, instructors and coaches are invited to make contact with Centre Managers to discuss the possibility of scheduling new classes and activities into the programme.

Receptionist - starting at £7.45p/h
Saturday 1100 - 1700 hrs
Sunday 0800 – 1600 hrs
Casual Receptionist - £7.45 p/h
To join a bank of staff to cover holiday and sickness absences
Leisure Assistants x 2 - starting at £7.48 p/h
Two NPLQ qualified staff required
Post 1 – 23 hrs/wk
Post 2 – 12 hrs/wk
Hours of work include evenings and weekends
Casual Leisure Assistants - £6.75 p/h
NPLQ qualified staff needed to work as and when required
A CRB application will be made for the successful applicants.
