Yoga & Pilates Courses

At lakes leisure Kendal we run regular yoga, pilates and yoga in pregnancy courses which normally last between 5-8 weeks depending on each term length.

Yoga has been proven to have huge benefits in maintaining health as well as increasing the flexibility and lubrication of the joints, ligaments and tendons, massaging of the organs, detoxifying the body and toning the muscles.

Pilates focuses on exercises which teach awareness of breathing and alignment of the spine and it also strengthens the deep torso muscles which are important to help alleviate and prevent back pain.

Our yoga in pregnancy course is designed especially for ladies in the second and third trimester of pregnancy to help maintain physical health and prepare the body for birth. The course is taken by a fully qualified instructor.
