Walking the Way to Health
Walking is a simple, enjoyable, yet highly effective exercise suitable for everyone – of all ages and abilities.
Walking helps you to control your weight, reduce stress, improve your heart health, strengthen your bones or simply enjoy
the social benefits.
You can enjoy short free walks with trained volunteer leaders.

The current walks programme is available from Lakes Leisure Kendal or from Kendal Tourist Information Centre.
June & July Walks

*Serpentine Woods is more strenuous & includes uphill walking and uneven ground All walks are easy up to 1.5 m, except the Dallam walk, which is approximately 2miles Staveley, Rothay and Sedgwick walks are approximately 3miles. Stagecoach 555-bus service can be used for Dallam, Rothay and Staveley walks. For Carus Green walk use Stagecoach 45 (departs from Stricklandgate Kendal at 10.50am **Scout Scar, Cunswick Scar & School Knott are committing mini fell walks, strenuous and cover uneven and rocky ground and are about 4 miles long.
